Gamers are going crazy over Valorant beta codes.
Riot Games is at it once again. This time with a new shooter game, Valorant. The games full release will happen sometime this summer, but for right now, streamers have to grind. Looking back, League of Legends has been quite the money pot for Riot Games. In 2018, it generated over $1.4 billion in revenue. It is arguably the largest Esports in the world, and it is still growing. It’s creator, Riot Games, has had controversy over the years, mainly with discrimination, but after a few Non-disclosures and settlements, they have seemed to keep the majority of that under wraps.
Now, as Riot looks to create way more revenue than they already have, they are releasing a new, free-to-play, multiplayer, first-person shooter. The game is called Valorant, and it is currently in beta right now. To get a key, viewers need to be putting in hours, because, for this game, you can’t just put a name and email address down to get it, you have to work for it.
The first thing one needs to do is to sign up for a Riot Games and Twitch TV account if you have not already. Then you need to link both accounts and begin watching. Codes will only be given out on individual streams, so here is the link for the specific streams you need to watch to get your code.
Codes will be given to random watchers, which they can then use to begin playing. However, the chances of you getting that code in the first place are slim. The Valorant category currently has over 1.1 million followers and 975K viewers as of April 10th at 10:20 AM.
It is an exciting way to release beta keys for the game. The game already has a ton of hype as Riot has not released any games in the past ten years, but now as free-to-play shooter games are taking over the industry by storm, Riot is trying to get a piece of the action.
Riot’s goal with Valorant is likely to make it an Esports hit like League of Legends. The way they are giving codes only proves that theory. Before the game even has a release date, it is already the fifth biggest game on Twitch with over 64 million viewer hours.
Valorant will be huge when it releases, the esports league will likely be huge, based on Riot’s track record. The game already has a lot of attention. It will probably continue that way because of both Riot’s reputation as a developer, and because it looks like it will be a great game. Furthermore, as people need to stay inside, it will only grow that hype even more.
The Disclosed Gamer will be writing a review of the game in the coming days. For more updates and other essential gaming media, subscribe to our mailing list and follow us on social media.
