Facebook will unveil the newly-branded Facebook Reality Labs Today at 10 AM, PST, Facebook will show off the newly marketed, Facebook Reality Labs.

Formerly called “Oculus”, Facebook was under scrutiny from the United States Government for Anti-trust. Therefore, they did some rebranding so that customers know what Facebook Creates and operates. This gives more transparency to users.
As of currently available information, the event will showcase some new technology from Facebook Reality Labs. This is, of course, going to be based around Virtual Reality and Artificial Reality. These concepts have not seen significant improvements, despite companies’ race to create new work-from-home technology. Virtual offices will probably become more realistic than they are now. Today’s event will likely showcase some of what the future holds for Artificial and Virtual Reality.
Currently, Facebook owns the most prominent developer in the video game-capable virtual reality hardware market. However, Facebook Reality Labs has some competition coming it’s way. Rumors are circulating from all corners of the internet that Apple plans to release their Artificial Reality glasses. However, if Apple treats this new product like their other products, it will likely not contain many fun video games.
Today’s event will likely be about video games, judging from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook and Instagram posts. In the posts, Facebook CEO playing Echo Arena with the Vice President of virtual and Artificial reality, Andrew Bosworth.
While today’s event could feature new games and possibly new hardware, it will likely just be Oculus’s rebranding, with some minor updates. Viewers should not expect much from this event, but hopefully, they get more than they bargained for coming in, and we see the future of gaming today.
