If you read Disclosed Gamer, you are clearly into gaming. If you’re into gaming, you’ve most definitely heard of the game, “Among Us”.

The new game is taking the internet by storm and is burning the charts on Twitch and other streaming services. In fact, the game is so popular that its developers canceled the sequel. They did this so they can spend more time making the original better.

The game can be played online or on iOS and Android. The streaming aspect is what has made this game so popular. According to Steamcharts, 388,385 people played Among Us simultaneously, more than Grand Theft Auto 5 on its Steam debut. This makes it one of the biggest games to launch.

The purpose of the game is to work as a team to figure out who is sabotaging the spaceship crew. It came out in 2018 but this game is hardly new. You have likely played it before, but probably in real life at a social gathering. It’s the exact same game as “Mafia” where you must learn who is killing others.

This game is one that many played as kids and in high school and is now really making its return through Among Us as a video game. Something that makes it so fun is that it can be played with a large group of people and friends. Maybe in the year 2020 when it is impossible to meet with friends on a regular basis, this is exactly the type of video game that we need.

It took just a couple of big streamers like xQc and AdmiralBulldog to play for a few hours on Twitch before the game blew up and started running up the charts. It has become the perfect social game during the weird year that we are living through and deserves all the success.
