Star Wars Squadrons review – The Star Wars game we didn’t know we needed.
Star Wars fans can rejoice and rush to the stores because there is a new video game inspired by the films from George Lucas. This new game, Star Wars Squadrons, comes with plenty of hype and excitement. We are going to break it all down in this article. The game can be played on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 5, and Xbox One. It was released on October 2.
The setting of Star Wars Squadrons is set after Return of the Jedi. Players can take over ships form the Galactic Empire and the New Republic navy. The gameplay revolves around two different pilots from each side after the Second Death Star has been destroyed.
There is another game mode called “Dogfight.” In dogfight, up to 10 players are split into two groups of pilots against each other. This is an all-out battle between both teams. The other game mode is called “Fleet Battles.” This is similar to Dogfight, but teams are participating in a search and destroy like approach. The team that destroys the Enemy Flagship ship wins the game.
Motive Studios develop the game. It is a Canadian video game developer and works closely with Electronic Arts, which has produced other Star Wars video games. Motive studios were founded within EA and are focused on creating action-adventure games. The company is based out of Montreal.
Metacritic gave the game a 78 percent out of 100, and Steam gave the game a 6 out of 10.
Motive and EA are proven winners in great action games, and Star Wars fans love their games. This isn’t a typical Star Wars game, but it still is a fun play.
